Used on offgrid homestead for 3 years. Twice as economical as backup carburetor Miller 10KW welder/generator. Suffers occasionally from speed regulation problem.....usually goes away after 1/2 hour running at 1/2 output on 120v, then runs with both 120 and 240 output at nearly 6KW. The apparent cause is not limiting the loads (3 inverters and their loads, some of them under software control). In that generator stoppage event I believe generator restart can be delayed for up to an hour due to fuel starvation. Service bulletins not easily obtained from Honda. Suggest highest quality oil and yearly thorough cleaning/maintenance. Has odd semi-squeal on startup/shutdown with no ill effects.
